Keeping You Safe

Here is a summary of what we will be doing to protect everyone and reassure you during these difficult times

On arrival we ask that you sanitise your hands using the provided sanitise station.

Although there is no legal requirement to do so, we are encouraging everyone to scan the test & trace code on arrival.

During busy times, those without prior bookings may have to wait. As much as we will try our best to accommodate everyone, in order to keep everyone safe it may not always be possible.

Thank you for understanding during these tough times.

Social Distancing

Face Coverings

NHS Test & Trace

We understand customers and staff are a friendly bunch, but we have to ask you to refrain from unsolicited shaking hands, clapping backs and hugging.

There is no longer a legal requirment to wear face coverings within the pub however, if wearing one allows you to feel safe please feel free to do so.

If you have any questions about how to use this pease ask and we would be happy to answer any questions and show you how it all works.

Welcome back to the bar!

Please feel free to make your way to the bar to order food and drink. Please remember your table number if sitting outside.

Continued, regular cleaning will take place throughout the pub. All of our staff will be washing their hands every twenty minutes and sanitising ‘touch points’ every half an hour. Tables and chairs will be cleaned thoroughly after each customer has left. We will be following the highest level of cleaning standards throughout the pub, the toilets and in the kitchen.

Menus will be used only once and recycled afterwards. In order to reduce waste we request you hold onto menus if desert is something you might be wanting.

The Little Things

Children & Dogs

To reduce the handling of cash, we ask all guests where possible to pay via card, and preferable contactless.

For a long time newspapers, board games, dog biscuits and colouring items had been stored away however, they are slowly making a comeback!

We please ask that you do not let them wander too far. This is to ensure everyone feels safe as we continue to leave COVID behind. We also request dogs be kept on leads if they like to wander.

If you are unwell, we respectfully ask to save your visit for another day

The staff at the Thatched Tavern hope you find all these changes reassuring and if you do think of something to improve any of them please feel free to chat to us.
